Lillian Mottern is a writer from the Eastside of Los Angeles now based in New York City.
As a playwright, her work has been performed in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris. She was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill Theater’s 2025 National Playwrights Conference.
Her short stories and essays have been in The Big One, Waif, Dream Boy Book Club, Currant Jam, Spectra, and Notch, and she co-edits the forthcoming literary magazine Verdict Mag.
She has her MFA from Columbia University.
